vector smoothing menu

This menu lets you smooth the outlines of the objects in a vector image. The procedure is as follows:

  1. Enter the name of the vector file in the Vector image file menu field.
  2. Click on DISPLAY IMAGE to display the vector image.
  3. You can prevent the system from altering long vectors by setting the Max. vector length menu field. Vectors longer than this length will not be altered in the smoothing process.
  4. Click on SMOOTH VECTORS. The effect of the smoothing will be displayed immediately.

When you are satisfied with the results, you can save them in a new vector file. To create the new file with the same name as the original file, click on SAVE NEW VERSION. To create a new file with a new name, enter the name in the New name menu field, and click on SAVE UNDER NEW NAME.
