vector editing menu

This menu is for editing vector images. There are two varieties of vector images:
- Those containing only closed polygons, that is, loops.
- Those containing only non-closed polygons, which have endpoints that may differ.
The first kind is created by the analysis section of the system when you save
vectors. The second kind is created by the centerline software, and by the DES
input routine. The vector editing software assumes that all polygons are open,
that is, of type 2, but you can specify that you want all polygons to be closed,
or type 1, when you save the edited vector data.
The sequence of events when you edit vectors is as follows:
- You use the Load Vectors option to display a vector image. You can optionally
overlay this image on a raster image.
- You use the Modify Objects and Add New Objects menus to make modifications or
introduce new polylines. You can switch back and forth freely.
- When you are done, you can save the resulting vectors in the Save Vectors menu.
