utah rle import menu

--------------------------------
This menu lets you convert Utah RLE images into IcoMetrics images. It works as follows:

  1. You enter the name of the Utah RLE image in the Input Utah RLE file menu field. The expected file extension is .rle.
  2. If you want the IcoMetrics image name to be different from the Utah RLE image name, enter a name for the converted image in the Image file name field. This is the file you will be creating. The type of file created depends on the contents of the PCX image. It may be a greyscale or a color image, or, in some cases, a series of greyscale images. If the latter occurs, the image name you specify will have a two-digit number appended to it when each greyscale image is created.
  3. You click on IMPORT UTAH RLE IMAGE.

You can look at a Utah RLE image (without importing it) by entering its name as above, and clicking on PREVIEW UTAH RLE IMAGE. The system will set the size of the displayed image so that one image pixel corresponds to one pixel on the workstation screen.

You can preview several Utah RLE images at once, and you can make blowups or delete them in the usual way.
