sun rasterfile import menu

This menu lets you convert Sun Rasterfiles into IcoMetrics images. It works as follows:

  1. You enter the name of the Sun Rasterfile in the Input Sun Rasterfile menu field. The expected file extension is .ras.
  2. You enter a name for the converted image in the Image file name field. This is the file you will be creating. The type of file created depends on the contents of the Sun Rasterfile. It may be a bitmap, greyscale image or color image.
  3. You click on IMPORT RASTERFILE.

You can look at a rasterfile (without importing it) by entering its name as above, and clicking on PREVIEW RASTERFILE. The system will set the size of the displayed image so that one image pixel corresponds to one pixel on the workstation screen.

You can preview several rasterfiles at once, and you can make blowups or delete them in the usual way.
