Color Segmentation
Icometrics is used here to select the blue colors in the Mandril's nose. The lower left image is the original. The upper left image and the zoomed image at lower center show the selected pixels as yellow.
The isometric color map in the lower right shows the density of the colors in the image. The user has selected a range of colors to segment the image. The user has also selected yellow for designating the selected pixels.
After segmenting the image based on color, the user can then output a bitmap file for additional analysis.
The color map can also be displayed as RED vs GREEN, GREEN vs BLUE and RED vs BLUE. In addition the color map can be sliced to any range. The user can also click on the original image to "back pick" to the color map.
