process menu

The Process menu is for image processing. Image processing includes such things as image
filtering, false illumination, dilation-erosion, and image registration.
The types of operations available depend on what kind of image you are working with. For
example, dilation-erosion applies only to bitmap images, while registration applies to all
types of images. This menu, therefore, lets you indicate which type of processing you want to
perform. The options are:
- B&W
- This menu includes various options for processing greyscale images.
- Color
- This menu is for processing color images.
- Bitmap
- This menu is for processing bitmap images.
- Vector
- This menu is for processing vector images.
- Generate Grids
- This menu lets you create "grid" images, which are simple vector images that you can use when you need to register other images to a grid.
- Register
- Registration means warping one image to align it with another. This menu lets you register images.
Registration can be applied to images of every kind.
- Flatten
- This menu lets you flatten a feature in an image, by shifting columns of pixels.
- Unfault
- This menu is for removing faults from images of seismic sections.
- Periodize
- This menu lets you alter the periodicity of a raster image. It can be helpful if you are dealing with image data in an unknown format.
