pnm import menu

This menu lets you convert Portable Bitmap files into IcoMetrics images. Portable bitmap images come in three forms:

PBM - Portable bitmap files have one bit per pixel. They are converted into IcoMetrics bitmap images.
PGM - Portable greymap files are greyscale images. They are converted into IcoMetrics greyscale images.
PPM - Portable pixmap files are color images. They are converted into IcoMetrics color images.

The conversion menu works as follows:

You enter the name of the PNM file in the Input PBM file, Input PGM file, or Input PPM file menu field. The expected file extensions are, respectively, .pbm, .pgm and .ppm.
You enter a name for the output image in the Image file name menu field. This is the file you will be creating.
You click on IMPORT PNM IMAGE.

You can look at a PNM image (without importing it) by entering its name as above, and clicking on PREVIEW PNM IMAGE. The system will set the size of the displayed image so that one image pixel corresponds to one pixel on the workstation screen.

You can preview several PNM images at once, and you can make blowups or delete them in the usual way.
