This menu is for exporting image files, which means converting Icometrics images into other file formats used by other software packages.
The options are:
- Export DES
- This menu lets you export DES files. DES is a vector-file format used by some engineering firms.
- Export DXF
- This menu lets you export DXF files. DXF is a vector-file format used in the AutoCAD graphics system.
- Export GIF
- This menu lets you export GIF files. GIF is a popular general-purpose color image file format.

- Export IGES
- This menu lets you export IGES files. IGES is an industry-standard vector-file format.
- Export MCID
- This menu lets you export MCID files. MCID is a format used by the IMAGE program, publicly available on the Internet.
- Export PNM
- This menu lets you export PNM files, otherwise known as portable bitmap
files. The portable bitmap is a set of routines (pubicly available on the
Internet) that convert all sorts of image formats into each other.
- Export Sun Rasterfile
- This menu lets you export Sun Rasterfiles. These files are generated by the screendump command on Sun workstations.
- Export Targa
- This menu lets you export Targa files. Targa is an industry-standard format defined by Truevision, Inc.
- Export TIFF
- This menu lets you export TIFF files. TIFF is an industry-standard raster image file format.
TIFF is a trademark of Aldus Corporation.
- Export Utah RLE
- This menu lets you export Utah RLE images, which can be used by software incorporating the Utah Raster Toolkit.
In particular, the Rayshade ray-tracing program uses images in this format.
