color processing

Color image processing is performed in three steps:

  1. You Get the image. This loads the image into the computer's memory.
  2. You Stretch the image. You may optionally CONVERT RGB TO HSI before stretching, in which case you will want to CONVERT HSI TO RGB after stretching. To activate these conversions, just click on the menu fields. The system will inform you when the conversion is complete.
  3. You Save the stretched image to disk.

Remember, if you don't Save the image, and you leave the Color Processing menu, the image just goes away and you have to start over. As long as you stay in the Color Processing menu or the Color Stretch Menu, the image stays in the memory of the computer.
