analysis menu

This is the main menu for the Analysis section of the system. This section lets you
perform statistical analysis of the objects in bitmap and vector images. You can use the
results of the analysis to produce graphs, new bitmap or vector images, or statistics files
that contain measurements of the geometric parameters of the objects in a simple format. The
usual sequence of steps in an analysis proceeds from the top down:
- You get the image file.
- You analyze it.
- You create graphs.
- You highlight the graphs.
- You do one or more of the following:
- Save images of the graphs to disk.
- Save a new bitmap image to disk.
- Save a new vector image to disk.
- Save eigenvector definitions to disk.
- Save a statistics file to disk.
When you save bitmap, vector, or statistics files, the system saves only the objects that you
have highlighted. If you have highlighted no objects, the system saves all objects that are
not constrained out by constraint graphs.
You can save an analysis (a set of constraints and highlights) in a disk file and recall it to
automatically apply those constraints and highlights to other images. To save an analysis,
first get your constraints and highlights the way you want them, then go to the Save/Recall
Analysis menu, and create the analysis file. To apply that analysis file to other images,
first get the image and analyze it, then go to the Save/Recall Analysis menu and recall the
analysis file.
